PowerMops:General disclaimer

From PowerMops

Jump to: navigation, search

Dear Reader,

This notice is necessary in many countries (e.g. United States), because the works posted on this site (and any derivative works) would retain ownership by the original respective authors without sufficient declaration to the contrary. I am now pleased to be able to make such a declaration in their behalf.

Mike Hore places Mops, its source code, and manual into the public domain.

Doug Hoffman also places the pre-compiled binary of his Quick Edit editor (and its Carbon successor) into the public domain. (However, the source code to Quick Edit could not be placed into the public domain because it contains proprietary source code. This is why it has not been included with the Mops distribution.)

Other works posted on this site, including the HTML documents comprising the site itself, are in the public domain. (The only possible exceptions at this time are user contributions, which retain copyright by their respective authors unless otherwise declared.)

Simply stated, there are no licensing restrictions, royalties, or other legal "gotchas" inherent in using or distributing Mops as you receive it from this website. You may use or adapt it for any purpose. What you decide to do with the modified work is completely up to you.

Please write me if you should have any questions or concerns about this notice.

Sincerely yours, The Mops Website Maintainer
